Operation First Response founder Peggy Baker talks about the help they give to Soldiers, Veterans and their families. One person that sought their help was Cpl. Porta. He was in a Humvee that was struck by an IED which is an improvised explosive device. Over 80% of his body was burned and the two friends that were with him were killed.

Eisenhower called the operation a crusade in which “we will accept nothing less than full victory.” More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day invasion, and by day’s end on June 6, the Allies gained a foot- hold in Normandy. The D-Day cost was high -more than 9,000 Allied Soldiers were killed or wounded -- but more than 100,000 Soldiers began the march across Europe to defeat Hitler. It was the largest amphibious operation ever to take place.

Lanita Moss braved breast cancer in 1996 at the young age of 32. She and her husband had received a referral of a baby girl when her husband was killed in the terrible Swissair crash over Nova Scotia on 9-2-98. She pushed through the tragedy and has adopted two children internationally and started a company 'Birth by paperwork'.
Melissa Cooper is a forensic artist who has worked on homicide cases and muchmore. She helped a young girl who had been adopted and had no baby photos of herself. Hear her fasinating story of the La Brea tarpit works she has done along with giving "face" to the 9000+ year old La Brea woman!!
