Last up was Theresa Crim, marketing director for Whole Foods Market in Bellevue, WA where Green Halloween, the nationwide community initiative begun by Corey in 2006, got its start.

Lynn and Corey of Celebrate Green! had the honor of speaking with one of their idols, Peggy O'Mara, editor and publisher of "Mothering" magazine for more than 30 years! Lynn wrote for the magazine when Corey was a child and they have written together for it as well as providing videos for Mothering.com. Peggy's vision for the magazine has helped hundreds of thousands of parents who are looking for ideas on natural parenting. In the last segment, Lynn & Corey welcomed Angelou Ezeilo, founder of Greening Youth LLC and The Greening Youth Foundation, both focused on educating youth to ensure that the nation's environmental resources are preserved for future generations.

Mother-daughter Celebrate Green! team, Lynn and Corey interviewed three great guests this week: Melissa Benaroya, co-founder of Mommy Matters-Seattle, an 8-week workshop for moms who want to be more intentional and empowered in their parenting; John Ujda of Better World Books, the company that not only keeps books out of landfills but also raises millions for literacy around the world; and John Woodring with Project Kaisei, the only science-based ocean recovery project testing ways to remove plastic from the ocean.

On today's Celebrate Green! show, Lynn and Corey spoke with author Temra Costa about her new book, "Farmer Jane: Women Changing the Way We Eat." It's an inspiring read showing how women are leading Americans toward a much more holistic view of the food we grow and eat.
Next up was an old friend of Lynn's Jim de Girolamo whose company, Orion Trading, imports 100% recycled glassware from Mexico. Jim shared the history of the glass and glass making using recycled bottles to create individual, practical works of art.
Lynn and Corey then celebrated the work of Teresa Valley whose Girls Giving Back organization is refurbishing homeless shelters in Seattle.

Henry Fair, Lynn and Corey's second guest is a photographer renowned for his Industrial Scars project which inspires viewers to contemplate the mess we are making and leaving in our formerly pristine world. He recently was on the Today Show and just returned from a trip to the Gulf Coast where he was shooting images from his own artistic viewpoint. On the show, he explains the "why" behind his work how his vision can make a difference for the people who view it.

Great Celebrate Green! show today. Hosts Lynn and Corey's first guest was Jenn Berry from Earth911.com. If you have no idea what to do with that mannequin in your closet--Jenn informed us that it and dozens of other oddities, can be recycled.
Next up was Tom Kelly, founder of Fire Belly Organic Lawn Care (FireBellyLawnCare.com). After his son was born, Tom, who had worked with conventional lawn care for many years, realized that pouring toxic chemicals on the ground for the sake of greener grass is wrong for people and the planet. So he devised a six step process for having a great looking lawn without all the chemicals.

In today's show, Celebrate Green's mother-daughter team, Lynn & Corey, talked about being a more eco-friendly wedding guest.
Their first two guests, Tom Feegel and Jordan Howard talked passionately about Green My Parents, an initiative that enlists kids to help their families save the planet and money by working together to take small steps that matter.

Next up was jewelry artist Barbara Polinsky who is collaborating with a new line, Celebrate Reclaimed Silver, with Lynn and Corey exclusively for their Celebrate Green! shop at www.celebrategreen.theopenskyproject.com. Final guest for today was Julia Andrus, who started EcoGreen Crafts after a bout with cancer that was supposed to kill her. Instead, it moved her to create a company whose products are eco-friendly in all the right ways.

In today's Celebrate Green show we talked more about making the upcoming holidays more meaningful.
Great discussion with Rabbi Mordecai Liebling of The Shalom Center about The Green Menorah Covenant which offers concrete ideas for environmental stewardship during Hanukkah, but which people of any faith or belief, could easily follow.
Our second guest was Roger Thorson of Carnation Tree Farm, who farms Christmas trees in more sustainable ways.
We wound up with more discussion on Christmas trees, the merits (ecowise) of buying an artificial tree that can be reused or one that is grown. You'll have to listen to hear the perhaps surprising answer.
