pat sloanPat Sloan has been creating since she was a child.  From the first shoebox dioramas to sketches for a fabric line, there has always been creative energy flowing.  When she tried her hand at quilting in 1985, she never looked back.  Now, owner and founder of the quilting design and publishing company Pat Sloan & Co., she has published over 20 books, more than 100 patterns, nearly 10 fabric lines, and has had her work featured in many of our magazines.  
 
Pat first began sharing her knowledge through her publications, workshops, and lectures, but has expanded her reach through the internet and social media. Pat's overall passion has always been encouraging others to harness their creative energy and have fun with their quilting!

I have been a huge fan of Alison Glass and her fabrics, quilts, embroidery for a long time. She has developed lines of fabric that are so timeless and blend so with what we have that you want to collect them all. Her batik lines are beautiful and now she has embroidery and other fun things.. like removable tattoos that have glitter.. love them!

The first was the tribute to the Beatles and now the 2nd quilt challenge to honor the 100th anniversary of the National Parks is out on exhibit and there is a beautiful book to go along with it. Her papers have been me the way to do English Paper Piecing that work for my brain! And she talks us through a tour of her studio! Plus.. her background before designing is pretty interesting.. you'll love it!
