Living Latina with Francesca Escoto happens every Wednesday at 9PM EST, and it is the Woohoo Radio Network's show dedicated to exploring what it means to be Latina in the U.S., and how each woman can craft her own niche in that world. We meet every Wednesday to dig deep into our heritage and jump forth into the future that is possible. Living Latina is about living, first and foremost, and living as a Latina.
Las Latinas are a blend of Hispanic and American, not necessarily in that order. We were born in the U.S., born and raised somewhere else, or something in between. We speak English, Spanish, and are fluent in Spanglish. We eat American burgers, Mexican chimichangas, Dominican rice and beans, and Italian pizza. Our music is eclectic, but don't confuse Rancheras with Quebraditas, and don't dance Bachata like its Salsa - you will step on someone's toes. We want family, we want career, we want love, we want freedom, and we want roots and cultura.
Join the fun (and often funny) conversation about the intersections of religion, politics, culture, and career as they impact the emerging Latina identity.
