Show Info

Airing Encore shows every Thursday night at 8pmCDT/9pmEDT  Tuning in to Second Chances is like coming home to warm, fresh-baked cookie smells, a hug from grandma, or an enthusiastic tail-wagging greeting from your dog. You will find compassion, understanding, and a genuine appreciation for you as the listener.

Second Chances, hosted by Midge Noble, a Licensed Professional Counselor, will affirm you where you are, inspire you to be the type of person you would want your kids to become, and challenge you to think outside the box. Midge will offer her unique and witty approach as she gives expert advice in current topics related to children's issues, animal advocacy, and information that can improve our minds, body, and spirit.

I am excited about the path we are about to take together and I value the time we will share. So take a deep breath, open your heart, open your mind, and join me every Thursday, 8p.m CDT/ 9p.m. EDT. Let's have some fun!

Michele Noble, nicknamed Midge, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of NC. She currently works at Carolina Counseling Associates in Asheboro as a child and family therapist. She has worked with children and families since 1985. Midge has worked as a school counselor, a counselor for terminally ill children and their families, and as a mental health therapist. She works extensively with children and families who have lived through abuse, neglect, loss, foster care, and adoption. Midge believes that any trauma can be overcome by choosing happiness, and by choosing to be a survivor and not a victim.

Midge held the office of President for the Licensed Professional Counselor's Association of North Carolina in 2005. She is currently a member of that association, LPCANC and a member of AMHCA, American Mental Health Counselors Association.

Midge has published two children's books. The first book, SHEBA, Home Is Where Your Heart Is focuses on abuse, neglect, learning to trust again and finding your forever home. Her second book, ICE CUBE AWARD, Learning To Be Cool Under Pressure focuses on anger management, bullying, and finding your inner wisdom to manage problems without aggression. She donates a portion of the proceeds from the sales of her books to one day realize a no kill animal shelter in her community by bolstering spay/nueter efforts.

Midge loves her family, which includes her four-legged kids, camping, hiking, the mountains, yoga, cooking, advocating for animals, helping kids find their inner voice, and living as a vegan.

Living Authentically with Toginet Host Midge Noble on Second Chances 1-9-14

Daniel Haight was not able to join us for this show.  So, as things go in live radio, I chose to stay on the air and allowed my inspiration to take over.  Living Authentically became the theme, and if I might say... I LOVE this show!

Daniel Haight

Daniel Haight is an emerging writer whose credits include the Flotilla series and many published short stories. As a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, he refers to himself as a ‘blue collar geek' with a passion for writing, working with his hands and being a dad. A former disk jockey, Dan is talking about the Flotilla series on radio and podcast shows all over the world. He works as a ‘computer guy' during the day and writes in his off-hours. Dan began writing at the age of 12 by pure trial and error. "I had no idea what I was doing," he relates. "I'd see something on TV or in movies and rip it off shamelessly." From there, he began a career in random geekery while pursuing his passion for storytelling. He published his first short story in 2007 and his first novel, Flotilla, in 2011. Flotilla's sequel, Iron Mountain, is expected to be launched on November 29th, 2013 to the delight of fans all over the world. "Iron Mountain continues the story we began in Flotilla," Dan declares, "but I wanted to give the reader more. Stronger characters, cooler ideas ... more action. I want to take you on a journey that brings you to the end of the book thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming ‘Wow! What a Ride!'" The interactive universe of Flotilla has fans from all over the world, from Jakarta to Johannesburg, connecting with them through honest storytelling and relentless action. Dan will be promoting his book with a grass-roots publicity tour that includes a virtual launch party on Google Hangouts on November 29th and numerous radio and personal appearances through January, 2014.
