In 2005, Zack Weinstein broke his neck, shattering the C4 through C6 vertebrae in a terrible accident. Luckily for Zack, three of the people who witnessed the accident were lifeguards. They stabilized him and he was rushed to the hospital.
The tale doesn't end with him getting full recovery of his body. Zack has function through C6, meaning that he is paralyzed from the upper chest down. His shoulders, biceps, and forearms, up to his wrists work, but he does not have use of his hands or triceps.
After the accident, he took a year off from school. When he returned to Skidmore College, a small Liberal Arts school in Upstate New York, he continued with his Theater major. Zack graduated from Skidmore in May 2009 and set out for Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
He has gone on to make a name for himself with the love and support of his family and friends. Weinstein has appeared in numerous theater, films, and television shows, including NCIS and Glee.
