Sue Whitaker is a recognized business consultant. Her intriguing approach to business has coined her with the title of being "The Business Lovemaker."
In addition to having written business, investment, and marketing plans for companies over the years, Sue also developed a business seminar. It is through this medium that she is able to share and bring her experiences to life to offer businesses a refreshing and unique approach to business success and learning how to look at their business in a different and unique way to stay in love with what they do. Sue considers herself a relationship consultant for businesses.
Sue's entrepreneurial spirit began while growing up in Northern California and creating a hand-written newspaper in the fourth grade and selling it to neighbors for twenty-five cents a copy. Sue describes that as her first taste of being in business for herself and creating the ambition and desire to move in that direction. Sue recognized her natural fit in business and her love for business has only grown over the years maintaining this entrepreneurial spirit throughout her life.
Sue has also used her experiences and infectious energy in the political, civic and social arenas and has worked with many celebrities and professional athletes. She has served on several local and national political campaigns throughout the United States. She was appointed by two Governors to serve on various Boards and Commissions, appointed as Ambassador to Australia/New Zealand People to People Program by President Reagan, appointed by a United States Congressman as a delegate/speaker to the National Women's Business Summit, and appointed to International America's Cup Marketing Committee. Her community contributions to Easter Seals, Multiple Sclerosis, Challenge Rehabilitation Center, Parent/Teacher Organization, and the University of San Diego Parents' Board of Directors, are just a few of her past community involvements.
As a keynote speaker, Sue has been described as "having an acute awareness of everything that is happening around her." She has been engaged as a keynote speaker to numerous political, business, educational, and civic organizations and has spoken before a U.S. Senatorial Committee in Washington D.C. She has been featured on ESPN, Entrepreneur magazine, television, radio, and media interviews. She has a lengthy background in writing including authoring a book, writing press releases, publication articles, and created her own America's Cup mail-order catalog.
Sue has owned a retail business, marine manufacturing company, apparel design and manufacturing company, as well as partnered in several diverse businesses including gaming, agriculture, and non-profits. She attended University of Nevada Reno, had a California Provisional Teaching Certificate, and taught school in a rural, California community. Sue's motto is "if you are knocked down, let it only be momentarily; for if you are down too long, great opportunities will pass by you."
