No more mommy madness. The Sanity Hour is the antidote.
In this show, Ann and her guests guide parents through issues that arise from simply living in our current high energy, high pressure culture of perfection and achievement. Parents, but particularly moms, are bombarded daily: sign up for this, buy that, enrich your child's life, enhance your child's development, worry about this danger, provide this experience, compete here, save there. Moms just want to be the best parent they can be and provide their families with the ideal life. Bombarded on all sides, from media reports to keeping up with friends and neighbors, it seems that the bar for "the best life" is constantly raised to unachievable levels. Hours in the day, money in the bank, energy for tasks-it just seems like there are never enough when you're a mom. And the result is feeling like the worst mom ever.
This show helps moms to balance their expectations, cut themselves some slack, and still raise great kids in the age of over-parenting.
