I first came across Shannon Gingrich Shirley's quilts when I was at the Hampton Roads quilt show and her amazing quilt called Miss Vicki was hanging in a place of honor. Besides the quilt being so incredible, the story really caught my attention. This show is held next to the Embassy suites, and Miss Vicki worked there making breakfast for the zillions of quilters over the years. I'm delighted to have you meet Shannon as she does amazing work with children's art and other things as well, which are in her books!
Susan Marth of SuznQuilts is an author and fabric designer. She has some very clever ways to do quilt as you go and adorable patterns using mini Dresdens! We are going to talk about how to be successful at both of those with her insider tips!
Mary Abreu is the designer behind confessions of a craft addict. She is an author, and super creative with a needle and thread. Mary teaches a wide range of classes near her metro Atlanta home, from serger techniques to apparel and bag making, to decoding sewing patterns! I can't wait to hear about her awesome approach to sewing with kids, and she has a super fantastic hobby in costume design, doesn't she look fabulous in that photo?
