January 13- Don't We ALL Have Special Needs?

Don't We ALL Have Special Needs?

This week's show highlights:

  • Science of Parenthood
  • Shut Up About Your Perfect Kid

Founders of Science of Parenthood

Norine Dworkin-McDaniel is co-creator and principle writer of the popular illustrated math- and science-based humor blog Science of Parenthood, named one of parenting.com's "blogs every parent should read." A longtime magazine writer, Norine's articles and essays have appeared in Parents, American Baby, More, Redbook, Marie Claire, Good Housekeeping, Woman's Day, Family Circle, and numerous daily newspapers and newsweeklies. Her work has also been published on the websites WhatToExpect.com, Scary Mommy, Huffington Post, and parenting.com, where she writes the monthly "Truth About Parenting" column. You can find her humor writing in several anthologies, including Have Milk Will Travel: Adventures in Breastfeeding (Demeter Press).  Norine lives in Orlando with her husband and 8-year-old son. Her high-school math teacher would be astonished to hear that she finally understands geometry. Mostly.

Jessica Ziegler is the co-creator, writer, illustrator and web developer for Science of Parenthood. In her "off hours," she is director of social web design for Vestor Logic and the writer and illustrator of customizable children's books available at StoryTots.com. Her illustration work has appeared in The Hartford Advocate, Las Vegas Life Magazine and Las Vegas Weekly. Her writing has appeared on the Huffington Post, InthePowderRoom.com and at BonbonBreak.com. Jessica lives in Denver with her husband, their 10-year-old son and, according to Norine, the most agreeable dog ever. Jessica's opinion on that differs dramatically.
