Deborah F. Truhowsky is Senior Counsel at the Law Firm of D. F. Truhowsky. Ms.Truhowsky attended New York University, where she earned her B.A. Degree in 1985. Excited by the opportunity to practice law in the area, she remained on the East Coast where, in 1988, she completed her J.D. Degree at Hofstra University, School of Law and was admitted to the bar in New York and Connecticut. Deborah then completed a Masters of Law degree in International Business and Taxation from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and in 1990, was admitted to the U.S. District Court in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

  • Regularly lectures on Nursing Home Neglect.
  • Vice-president of the Long Term Care Community Coalition's Board of Directors.
  • Member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.
  • Previously served as Vice-president, 1st Department for the Academy of Trial Lawyers.
  • Previously served on the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
  • Pursuing her goal to foster consumer rights and streamline legal disputes, she has served as Lecturer on Consumer Rights, as well as Lecturer for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Seminar for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
  • Frequent lecturer on Ethics.
  • From 2001-2003 and 2005, chaired an Ethics Roundtable lecture series for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
  • Has also lectured on Liens in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death cases.
  • Ms. Truhowsky has been awarded the prestigious AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell.
