July 1, 2013 Kaari Meng, Jan Patek, Shara Meredith, and Carolyn Forster with Host Pat Sloan on American Patchwork & Quilting Radio

Here is what you can look forward to on my show today!

Pat Sloan American Patchwork and Quilting radio Kaari Meng guest
Guest - Kaari Meng from the French General chatted with me about how she developed her latest fabric line, her retreats she runs in France and she has the BEST tip to use when 'collecting'!  We did the interview during set up day.. I think we took this photo at the end of the day when we might have been starting to 'whilt' just a little bit!

Pat Sloan American Patchwork and Quilting radio Jan Patek guest
Guest -- Jan Patek is one of my idols.. serious .. I'm a HUGE Fan girl! My early work in applique was making models of her patterns for the local shop. And my early quilts were primitive and her work has always inspired me.  Jan talks about being in the quilt industry for as long as she has, her work style and community!

Pat Sloan American Patchwork and Quilting radio Shara Meredith guest
Guest - One the best parts about the trade show is that everytime you go, your booth is near someone new! This time I was next to BasicGrey. Shara Meredith is the Marketing Manager at BasicGrey and she came on the show to explain how BasicGrey started in fabric, what their design process is and shares about her latest and 'most Popular' fabric line (guess which it is!)

Pat Sloan American Patchwork and Quilting radio Carolyn Forster guest
Guest - I have known Carolyn Forster almost since I started in the Quilt business. Carolyn is British and years ago she was the buyer for a shop in England that carries my things. Over the years we lost track of each other a bit and recently reconnected. I asked her to come on the show to chat about quilting in England, her 'Quilting on the Go' technique and her newest book with Landauer!
