Kathy Sheldon, Nancy Mahoney, Roseann Kermes, and Beth Huntington Chat with Pat Sloan
Kathy Sheldon and Amanda Carestio have a new book out called Felt-o-ween and it's adorable! Kathy is joining me today to talk about her books on felt and using felt, it's instant gratification! She has worked in the craft publishing business for 15 years and both authored and edited a number of sewing books. Amanda and Kathy have written an entire series featuring felt - Fa la la la Felt, Heart-Felt Holidays, Felt-o-ween, and we are finishing up a new Christmas book, a followup to Fa la la la Felt.
Nancy Mahoney is joining me each month in 2014 to chat about a topic in depth. Today we are going to discuss some areas of machine quilting we've both been asked about.. how to pick a design and how to use a sit down longarm machine. Pretty much how to add that last level of detail to your quilt.

Designer Roseann Kermes and I are going to talk about Fall projects and trends. It's hard to tell anymore what might be 'new' ... but Roseann and I think we have nailed a few tips for you!! Plus Roseann has been taking bus tours to quilt shops and cute towns for years, she has spotted some fall ideas for us quilters!

Don't you love this name, the 'The Renegade Seamstress'? Beth Huntington is very skill at translating what is out of style or not fitting in some way, into a brand new look full of life! I first learned to sew by making clothes and I will always have a soft spot for creating a unique outfit. Beth's book is fantastic and she is going to share a bit with me today!
