Pat Sloan chats with Kirstyn Cogan, Sherri Hisey, Amber Johnson and Violet Craft!
And the END are links to a FREE patterns from my guests!
When Kirstyn Cogan's book 'Urban Scandinavian Sewing' came across my desk I was in love! I spent a good portion of my childhood living in Europe and her aesthetic for this book really took me back in time. We are going to chat about art of simplicty and it's beauty, which I really wish I could do!
I had the opportunity to teach with Sherri Hisey of Border Creek Station earlier this year and I convinced her to join me to talk about mystery quilts! I know loads of you have made her mystery quilts and love them.. so Sherri is going to tell us how to get the most out of doing that kind of a quilt... she is an expert! And you can see her quilt in the Fall 2010 Quilt Sampler magazine for the Quilter’s Cupboard !
Amber Johnson writes at 'A Little Bit Biased' and has a wonderful community of quilters that she interacts with. From her tutorials, to her patterns, to her new book 'Vintage Vibe' you find Amber sharing great quilt tips and inspired pieces! Amber and I are going to talk about how to give a traditional quilt a vitagey feel and I am going to pick her brain a bit about what it's like to work in a quilt shop and see all the different projects people bring in!

The first time I 'meet' Violet craft was when I saw her fabric line called Waterfront Park. It's one of those time when you see something and are like.. wow! It grabed my imagination. Violet has been designing line after line like that for Michael Miller fabric with pattern and now we get to here how the magic happens!
Enjoy these FREE Patterns from my guests, be sure to thank you!
