Linda Hahn is back on the show and we talk about her new book series called 'Rock that Block'. She always has great ways to make our quilting look like more work than it really is! Today we talk about how you can use one block and explore the ways to make it look different, almost like a sampler, see the cover? All the same block!

I'm a HUGE fan of Jennifer Ofenstein's designs. She is a paper piecing wiz! It was such a joy to learn about how she got started with loving paper piecing, and how she started is super successful website for 'fan blocks'. It's a wonderful story of quilters community.

United Notions and Moda Fabrics is celebrating a big anniversary this year. President and founder Mark Dunn (on the right above) started United Notions 40 years ago. Then 25 years ago he began our beloved Moda Fabrics!
I asked his son Josh Dunn, Moda Fabic's Director of International Sales (and best photographer ever!) to tell me about the company and the incredible exhibit that he curated for Quilt Festival in Houston this October 2015. He pulled together many of his father's antique quilt collection, quilts from the designers and he and the design staff created a special anniversary fabric, shown in the quilt above!
See more about the exhibit at this article. We are all so lucky to have them in our business!
You can buy the awesome 'extra wide' fabric
