If you're an Idol fan give the show a call and ask your questions - what fun!
Ann Marie Boskovich says, - I don't have a choice! I was born with music in my soul. I never chose this profession.. it chose me. When I sing and perform I feel ALIVE... To me there's no greater feeling in the world than getting lost in a song and letting it carry you away to that special place. I hope to be able to do that with my music. I'm the middle child of five kids and I found attention through music. My mom claims I sang before I talked-might need footage to believe that one! : ) When I was five years old I sang "Over The Rainbow" at my great-grandmother's funeral. We used to sing that song together and so it was a very special moment for me. I learned that my voice was a gift I could use to share with others. I grew up putting on shows all the time for my family with my little brother Anthony (my top friend) so I feel like I've been performing my whole life. I am 24 years old, pursuing my career as a singer/songwriter in Nashville. I come from a farming family and vividly remember driving with my dad in his truck as a kid learning all his favorite, classic songs... especially Patsy Cline. He used to sneak me into bars on karaoke night in the Salinas Valley town of Gonzales, where I won my first grand prize. I sang everywhere from church, to school, to sporting events, to charity events, to weddings, to restaurants, to musical theater etc... My mom told me to never turn down a gig- why is your mom ALWAYS right?! In school, I spent a lot of time writing down lyrics in all of my notebooks- songwriting was becoming an obsession. When I visited Nashville on a writing trip, I fell in love with music city and knew this was where I wanted to be. A few months later, I packed up my car and made the move only knowing one person.. Kris Bergsnes aka Mayor of Music Row(also on my top friends). I'd always read about my favorite artists moving to Nashville and never did drive back- it's definitely challenged me to become a stronger singer, writer, musician and artist. Hope you enjoy my music and thank you so much for visiting my page! Oh and I hate being the annoying person who tells you about all the cool things I've done, but, my mom said I should... I've had the privilege of sharing the stage with David Foster, Kenny G., Peter Cetera, Philip Bailey, Brian McKnight, Richard Marx, and KC and The Sunshine Band. I've opened for one of my favorite female country artists, Deana Carter. I've played roles such as Maria in "West Side Story", Peter in "Peter Pan, Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz", Sarah in "Guys And Dolls" and Joanne in "Godspell". I've been very blessed to record songs for many amazing songwriters, including Diane Warren. I'd like to thank all of these people for everything they've taught me. "Let the madness in the music get to you, life ain't so bad at all." - Michael Jackson
