Liliane was born in Melbourne, Australia, to Jewish immigrant parents. She began writing stories when she was seven years old, winning her first writing competition at 17 and self-publishing her first book, 'The Mastery Club', when she was 42. The Mastery Club – See the Invisible, Hear the Silent, Do the Impossible sold out its first two print runs in twelve months and soon became an Australian bestseller. It was awarded a bronze medal for Juvenile Fiction in the 2007 Independent Book Publisher's Award (U.S.) and was picked up by Oriental Press for publication in China in 2010. The book's sequel, The Hidden Order - Can you see it? was launched in July 2012.
