Kirsten Anderson - Follow the Fun to Facilitate Success

Kirsten AndersonKirsten Anderson’s career has always followed the fun — from helping out in her mom’s preschool, corporate beginnings in movie theatre management, to 25 years as an entrepreneur in the toy industry. She opened her own toy store, curating the best quality toys and games from around the world. Quickly she became known as Canada’s white-lab-coat-wearing Toyologist, the go-to source of advice for play on Global News.

After traveling the world in search of precious playthings, winning National Toy Store of the year, and a ballooning obsession with pouring over child development and play research, it was time for a change. Kirsten sold her beloved toy store and took a leap into the unknown with an evolved mission of bringing the benefits of play primarily to children, expanding it to adults who she sees are also experiencing a serious play and fun deficit — especially at work.

With this lifelong love of playing with ideas and problems Kirsten played to her strengths to create social change and unlock potential in teams founding Integrate Play Solutions. Engagement and creativity are foundations in all of her Lego® Serious Play® and Empathy Toy facilitations, professional speaking, training and coaching to organizations, education, and communities globally. For those companies interested in increasing their bottom line Kirsten speaks to Creativity/Innovation, Leadership, Curiosity, Culture, and the playful mindset.

Always a passionate advocate of play for children while also breaking down barriers to playfulness for adults, Kirsten is building bridges to success one fun (LEGO®) block at a time.

Jackie Simmons - From Secret to Success

Jackie SimmonsJackie Simmons has an Attitude:

If you’re feeling blocked in any area of your life, it is time to “Find it, Fix it, and Get Profitable!”

Being a Secret Can Suck Your Life & Your Business Down the Drain. Removing the “Cloak of Invisibility” from her business skyrocketed Jackie from Secret to Success in 7 Months. BUT it didn’t start out that way.

You know, there’s nothing like being an entrepreneur / business owner to stir up an emotional mess! For Jackie, being a single parent at the same time brought her smack up against mental and emotional blocks that shut her down each time she was making progress ... like an unacknowledged “elephant in the room." The “elephant” sat on her phone so she couldn’t make sales calls, and distracted her so she couldn’t focus and finish projects. It trashed her hard work and stunk up her relationships.

It was through learning to permanently resolve her own blocks that the “From Secret to Success” system was born. Jackie used the system to help first herself, and then her clients, to become Calm, Focused, & Profitable.

Since the 1980s, Jackie Simmons has been helping small business owners and entrepreneurs tame the inner saboteurs that trample their profits and productivity and suck their sanity down the drain. These inner saboteurs show up as overwhelm, ineffective communication, lack of focus, and dismal sales. They sabotage productivity and can make it seem like there’s no way to be successful. The overwhelm alone can drain even the most seasoned entrepreneur, business owner, or manager.

Readers grin, giggle and “GET IT” as Jackie guides them through the simple attitude shifts that produce higher profits, consistent actions, better teams, and happier relationships. Through her books, programs, and speaking, Jackie shares the quickest, most reliable path to becoming the Calm, Focused, Profit-Making Success that you were always meant to be.

Lt. Coby Webb - Why Not Try?

Lt. Coby WebbLt. Coby Webb grew up between Oregon and the Coachella Valley. After graduating high school in Palm Springs, she attended a local community college before being hired as a police officer. As a young officer, Lt. Webb initially worked patrol operations. She was assigned to bicycle patrol, hostage negotiator, and started the Department’s first Bloodhound program. She was the first and only handler out of 26 dog teams to work two dogs at once. She stayed as a K-9 handler for almost 10 years and became a Trainer, Certifier, and K-9 Judge.

While assigned to K-9, Lt. Webb re-enrolled in college. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and then a Master’s in Public Administration. In 2006, Lt. Webb became a single mother and was promoted to Sergeant. As a Sergeant, she continued to work toward her degree while being a new mother. Lt. Webb worked various assignments as a Sergeant, including Patrol Supervisor, K-9 Supervisor, and she was selected to develop an agency-wide leadership program for all ranks. In January 2010, Lt. Webb earned her doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.

In December 2010, Lt. Webb and her family were involved in a near-fatal car accident after a snow storm, on icy roads in Oregon. She was airlifted with her son. Her daughter had a broken foot, and her son had a concussion. Lt. Webb was not expected to survive. She had shattered her back and spinal cord, broken her left hip, left femur, and numerous ribs. Lt. Webb was told that she was an L1 paraplegic (paralyzed from the waist down).

The day of the car accident was a turning point in Lt. Webb’s life and one she now calls a blessing. “How many people get the opportunity to start life over?” She had to decide if she was going to fight or accept the situation. Lt. Webb says her faith helped her and not only did she pray, she had deep conversations with God. This helped her decide, “Why not try? I have nothing to lose by trying." That is her motto and what she instills in her children.

Lt. Webb made it back to work in law enforcement and has since been promoted to Lieutenant. She is proud for trying and relearning how to do things to overcome her injuries. Lt. Webb believes the accident gave her compassion and empathy, now some of her strongest character traits. She feels her greatest achievement is showing her kids to work hard, never give up, have faith, and surround yourself with good, positive people. Since the accident, Lt. Webb has competed in the U.S. Police & Fire Olympics and has won 2 Gold Medals in the 1000-yard swim.
