The Humanist Approach to Happiness: Practical Wisdom is the first book about how applying Humanism to your daily life can help you be a happier more productive person. It is primarily aimed at teens and young adults. The book basically says here are personal ethics, here is why they are important and here is why adopting a set will help you lead a happier more productive life. It is not so much a book about philosophy as it is a book about the pragmatic reasons why being a good person has benefits here and now. The emphasis of the book is on how to make better decisions before you decide to act.
Noteworthy:
- The book has been added to the curricula at the Royal Military College of Canada for their Staff Development course.
- The Unitarian Universalists Association is adding the book to their curriculum for character development, decision-making and ethics for youth
