Sarah’s journey of recovering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, more than a dozen Traumatic Brain Injuries, rape, and subsequent medical issues to include stroke has recently been showcased in a variety of outlets to include The Katie Couric Show, MSNBC Live, ABC World News with Diane Sawyer, NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, Huffington Post, as well as in her book Just Roll With It and corresponding nationally replicated one-day workshop. Prior to entering the world of social entrepreneurism, Sarah was an Intelligence Officer in the USMC, and 5-time Military Olympian, then worked as a human terrain analyst in Washington DC. As a student of social science, nutrition, and physical fitness, she came to appreciate how stress affects leadership and mental, physical, and spiritual health, and how mind-body-spirit practices like yoga can improve the outcome of chronic illnesses and stressors. She speaks regularly at universities, professional organizations, and veteran events about stress, trauma, and creating sustainable leadership strategies and lifestyle habits. Sarah also leads yoga and adventure retreats in Costa Rica and Mexico, and supports entrepreneurs, veterans, and leadership teams at service organizations around the country to more effectively serve in-need populations.
