Chris Carson is the 19th president of the League of Women Voters of the United States and chair of the Board of Trustees of the League of Women Voters Education Fund. A third generation California native, Chris was instrumental in spearheading historic redistricting reform in the state of California, and has expertise on driving legislative campaigns and grassroots advocacy strategies. With a B.A. from Immaculate Heart College and an M.A. in History from the University of Southern California, Ms. Carson taught American history and government. More here.
Nate Kaplan has been an active player on the political scene from coast to coast and is dedicated to promoting political inclusion and civic participation. Nate ran for the office of state representative in his hometown in Central Massachusetts and at 24, he became the youngest candidate in that district’s history to receive a major party nomination. Armed with a Masters Degree in Public Policy from University of Southern California, he worked in California politics for several years, where he realized the majority of voters have little reliable knowledge about what they are asked to vote on.
