This week's show highlights:
- Dads with podcasts
- Dads' parenting styles
Art Eddy is an at home dad. He and his wife Jess are blessed with two daughters, Lily and Jordan. Art is a writer for Life of Dad and produces three podcasts on that site: "The Life of Dad Show," "The Life of Dad After Show," and "Nerds, Geeks, Dads."
Art loves making his family laugh, doing crafts with his daughters, and just hanging out with his family. He is a freelance writer and covers a wide range of topics. His work has been published on Yahoo, The Good Men Project, and MANjr. A self-proclaimed sneakerhead, Art also loves anything that deals with Star Wars, 49ers, Bulls, Spurs, and Red Sox.
Jesse Foster graduated with a degree in Philosophy from the University of Colorado but ended up teaching English over in Asia. An avid sports enthusiast, he mainly defines himself as a Christian, a husband, and a father. Being a new dad sparked Jesse to launch Father Nation, a podcast which interviews other dads on their personal experiences as a dad, with a purpose to illuminate the path for other dads. Fatherhood is a complex subject-yet also very simple. A little like Jesse. Hearing about the failures, the ah-ha moments, and the successes of other dads can help you avoid their mistakes, emulate their successful strategies, and take action to become a better dad.
So pull up a chair, shake up a cocktail, and kick up your heels while you tune in to the refreshingly real talk about what it takes to be a functional - and fun - parent in today's wild world of raising kids.
