TIM MCENENY, a successful self-funded entrepreneur, co-founded PurchasingNet Inc. in 1982, which survived and thrived for twenty-eight years. An award-winning innovator, he developed the first Windows-based and first web-based automated purchasing software.
Starting penniless, his start-up created software which was purchased by 1,400 mid-to large sized companies to improve their procure-to-pay processes. This was achieved in the highly competitive enterprise software industry without 3rd party funding. Tim writes a weekly blog analyzing the entrepreneurs appearing on ABC's hit show, Shark Tank. He presents "Sharky Awards" to the entrepreneurs with the best on-air performances. His blog can be found at http://timmceneny.wordpress.com. Tim recently became a regular contributor for http://FreeEnterprise.com, a digital platform for innovative entrepreneurs. McEneny and his wife, Laurene, have two children and one grandchild. Originally from the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area, they now reside in Florida. |
