INTRO: How Bright is Your Future in Sex?
Betsy Crane Ph.D., Professor and former Director of Human Sexuality Graduate Program at Widener University, PA will discuss the explosive growth of people seeking graduate degrees in the field of sexuality. One of only two nationally accredited institutions, In the last five years the Widener Program has grown from 30 students to 100 in fall of 2012. Who are these students and what are their career paths. What are they focused on and what knew bodies of research are they creating? What drives them to pursue this field. Medical schools aren't training doctors about human sexuality so these students may hold a key to better sexual health programs in institutions.

2) I am often asked where do I go and what should I take to be marketable?
3) What cultural behaviors are being studied by your graduates? Anal sex for women? Transgender?
4) I have two studies I'd love to see conducted: a) on the sensitivity of the inside of men's ears realtive to it being an androgenic receptor site (hair growth as they age) and correlation for some men it is a straight line stim to an erection versus not the same for women and, b) study of heavy pubic hair pattern and higher libidos in women.
5) Are there new areas that need to studied? You moved from the Director position to a greater teaching responsibilities. Is that because you have some pet projects you'd like to support or usher through?
6) Who is the ideal candidate for Widener's HSS grad program?
7) Are they recruited on campus or do rgey have to create their pown career path once launched?
