Success Profiles Radio 11/23/20 show

Dr. Jennifer Herrera was this week's guest on Success Profiles Radio. She is the Founder and Superintendent of Tucson International Academy with four K-12 campuses in Tucson, AZ. 100% of their graduates who want to go to college are accepted to two or more colleges and are offered scholarships, and this streak is 13 years running. She is also the author of the book, "Making College Come True".

We talked about learning a second language, how she decided to start the charter schools, the differences between charter schools and traditional public schools, her philosophy of education, and how they have adapted to the pandemic.

We also discussed grant writing, the process of applying for a charter school, the challenges of getting started, motivational speaking, and connecting with high-level people.

Finally, we discussed creative ways to pay for college if money is tight. You can listen to the show on iTunes or at https://toginet.com/shows/successprofilesradio
