Chris Powell was this week's guest on Success Profiles Radio. He is best known for hosting ABC's "Extreme Weight Loss" TV show for five seasons. We discussed how he got interested in health and fitness. Believe it or not, he was small as a kid and got picked on a lot. However, once he discovered weight training, kids at school started asking for his advice.

We discussed his first extreme transformation with a guy who lost 400 lbs, and how a video of that experience went viral and led to discussions with networks about the TV show that eventually landed on ABC. We also discussed how people who want to transform need to do it for the right reasons, the importance of taking baby steps and not trying to tackle everything at once, and mastering the mental game. 

In addition, we discussed how to raise metabolism, the best form of exercising if you are getting started, and how to get started if you've never embarked on a weight loss journey before. We also talked about the role of gratitude and his specific morning routine to start his day.
