Girlfriendit: Once Upon A Prince
It’s Valentine’s Day Week and Love is in the air and on the air! There is a love/hate relationship with Valentine’s Day. I once heard a comedian say, “Valentine's Day is terrible for two kinds of people -- those who are single and those who aren't.” For single people, the day can be a disappointing reminder they don't have that "special someone" in their life. For those people in a relationship, you cannot choose to just ignore Valentine’s day. That could really do some damage! LOL! I (Patty) love to decorate my house and pull out all things RED to create a different ambiance in my home, but I do tire of all the commercialized aspects of this ‘once-a-year-opportunity’ to express your love. Let’s face it . . . it is great for the florists, the greeting card companies, and jewelry stores, but it is a little annoying that one day sums up your romance. The pressure on this one day for couples and for singles is crazy. Many women put tremendous pressure on this one day to:
  • Put romance back into their marriage
  • Make up for all the time spent away at work
  • Make up for time not spent praying together
  • Make a last ditch effort for reconciliation
